Who we are

Black Hills Showcase Chorus is a group of talented women located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. For more than 40 years, BHSC has been performing throughout the area led by our dynamic director, Judy Vidal,and assistant director, Gena Plooster. We are dedicated to inspiring and educating women singers to gain confidence and connect with others through the joy of music.

As members of Sweet Adelines International, we are a place to grow: as a singer, as a person, as a leader, and as a friend. Find your voice, find yourself, and find lifelong community with Sweet Adelines.

What we do

We perform in the a cappella barbershop art form and sing for all types of public or private events, including charitable and community organizations.

In order to help keep everyone safe and healthy, BHSC suggests, but does not require, masks during rehearsals. Additionally, we have added three air purifiers to our rehearsal space. Many thanks to the Rapid City Arts Council for the grant that provided these purifiers, a wonderful addition that helps us all feel more secure as we sing together in harmony.
